1826	Founded by James Gordon and Peter Weir
1879	Current distillery built by James Fleming after old distillery was damaged by fire
1892	Distillery was sold to Robert Thorne & Sons Ltd
1898	Rebuilt after another fire
1921	Distillery sold to WH Holt & Sons Ltd
1945	Purchased by S. Campbell & Sons Ltd and extended
1962	The distilleries floor maltings are terminated
1973	Renovated 2 more stills added to make 4 in total
1975	S. Campbell & Sons Ltd taken over by Pernod Ricard
2001	New visitor centre opened

March 21st to end of October	Monday to Saturday 1000 to 1600hrs, Sunday 1230 to 1600hrs. Two tours daily.
Admission charge	Charge of £7.50 for a connoisseurs tour finishing with a nosing and tasting of 5 different expressions and new spirt. Opportunity to hand fill your own bottle with a personalised lable.
