1846 Built by Hector Henderson
1852 Norman Buchanan buys the distillery
1863 Bulloch, Lade & Co buys the distillery
1879 Rebuilt and Expanded
1920 Caol Ila Distillery, subsidiary (part of Robertson & Baxter Ltd)
1927 Distiller Company Ltd (DCL)
1930 The distillery closed. Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD) took over
1937 Distillery reopened
1972-74 Reconstructed and re equipped. Stills increased from 2 - 6.
2002 Official bottlings released (first since Flora and Fauna)
2006 8yo released
